Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains how LinkLoom (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on linkloom.app and within the LinkLoom application (the “Service”).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They help the site function correctly, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with it. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels.
2. Types of cookies we use
2.1 Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session token | Keeps you authenticated after OTP login | Session / 30 days |
| CSRF token | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Session |
| Cookie consent | Remembers your cookie preferences | 12 months |
2.2 Functional cookies
These cookies remember your choices and preferences to provide a more personalized experience.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Theme preference | Remembers light/dark mode selection | 12 months |
| Editor settings | Remembers your editor layout and preferences | 12 months |
| Dismissed notices | Tracks which banners or announcements you have closed | 6 months |
2.3 Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use linkloom.app so we can improve the Service. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled. Google Analytics sets the following cookies:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique visitors (anonymized) | 2 years |
_ga_* | Maintains session state | 2 years |
Google Analytics data is processed in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track individual users across sites. It collects aggregate metrics only (page views, referrers, device types). See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details.
2.4 Cookies we do not use
- Advertising cookies - we do not serve ads and do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Third-party tracking cookies - we do not allow third-party advertising networks to place cookies on linkloom.app.
- Social media tracking pixels - we do not embed social media tracking pixels on our marketing pages.
3. Third-party integration cookies
When you connect third-party services to LinkLoom (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, CMS platforms, social media accounts), the authentication flow may involve cookies set by those third-party services on their own domains. These cookies are governed by the respective third-party’s cookie and privacy policies, not by this policy.
LinkLoom does not set cookies on your behalf on third-party domains.
4. Your choices
4.1 Browser settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:
- View cookies stored by a specific site.
- Block cookies from specific domains or all third-party cookies.
- Delete cookies that have already been stored.
Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of LinkLoom from functioning correctly.
4.2 Google Analytics opt-out
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by:
- Installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Using browser extensions that block tracking scripts (such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger).
- Enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser settings (though not all services honor this signal).
4.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no industry-standard response to DNT signals. We currently do not alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals, but we offer the opt-out mechanisms described above as alternatives.
5. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable regulations. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
